Sentido Galosol

Clean, tidy and reallly well looked after by attentive and friendly staff. Good gym and exercise class itinerary and great Sports centre staff and trainers. As we went on an active break and chose this hotel on purpose as we are thinking of bringing a group out for similar break, the hotel met our expectations there especially as you can share faciliites of sister hotel which has a lido, spa and a dive centre right next to it. Good stuff. Galosol site, and Galomar, are both on main bus route to Funchal with express buses going at good times for planning and we used those a lot, when we couldnt be bothered to wait, or bus was just late (30 mins once!) then Ubers are plentiful as are taxis. Bus is €2:25 each one way and there are no return fares.........yet. Hotel has wide and varied clientelle nationally which is good and the gym/spa in Galosol is also used by locals so you get to meet a good spread of people if you want to.

We are a couple and had booked a single room, but this was upgraded to suite apartment with a very a nice view due to the fact that the indoor pool was under maintenance and we could hear the construction work. The staff were very helpful and friendly and tried to solve the issue with giving us this nice apartment. The breakfast was great. The hotel facilities and room equipment were of good quality and convenient. The outdoor pool beside the ocean was wonderful.

Almost everything about the hotel was excellent – truly outstanding value for money. The sea view was breathtaking, the room was spacious with a separate living area and a balcony, and the facilities were fantastic: ocean-view saunas, live music at the pub, great restaurants, a well-equipped gym, and fitness classes. I honestly didn’t want to leave!

This is a very good hotel with some really nice facilities. The pool area is very nice with lots of comfortable sofas and nice basket like seats to relax in - breakfasts are very good too. The location is nice and the views from the room and indeed the pool area are very good - great views of kestrels flying around and resting in the trees too!!

We were upgraded to a suite which had a sitting area and a super large bedroom. There was also a number of exercise equipment in the room plus a stationary bike, this was all a nice surprise. The bed was kingsize and very comfortable. The shower was walkin. The facilities (swimming pool and beach access at the sister hotel next door) were great. We had drinks a couple times at the hotel bar (next door) and lunch. All was good - reasonable prices given the location and the food/drinks were good, also friendly staff.
